About Bluebell Dog Walks

Hello, I’m Katie!

After spending six years working within the emergency services, I decided to combine my passion for dogs and the outdoors to create Bluebell Dog Walks.

I understand how important it is to trust the person caring for your dog. I am calm under pressure, reliable, and highly organised - qualities that are essential when caring for animals.

I will always have your pet’s best interests at heart, providing safe, enjoyable, and enriching walks across Harrogate and Knaresborough.

Every walk is planned with your dog’s safety, happiness, and individual needs in mind.

Frequently asked questions

A few common questions from new clients. If yours is not listed, please get in touch.
Which areas do you cover?
I walk dogs across Harrogate, Knaresborough and the surrounding villages. Get in touch with your postcode and I will confirm availability.
Do you offer group walks or one-to-one walks?
Both. Group walks are sociable hour-long outings with compatible dogs. One-to-one walks are ideal if your dog prefers individual attention or has specific needs.
How do I get started?
We begin with a free meet & greet at your home, followed by a trial walk. This helps me understand your dog’s routine, personality and any medical or behavioural needs.
Are you insured and qualified?
Yes. I am fully insured, DBS checked, canine first aid trained, registered with the National Association of Pet Sitters & Dog Walkers and certified by the British College of Canine Studies.
How will my dog travel to the walk?
Dogs travel in my secure, specially adapted Bluebell van with crash-tested crates, ventilation and fans — comfortable and fully insured for pet transport.
What happens in bad weather?
Walks still go ahead when it is safe to do so, with routes and duration adjusted for heat, ice or heavy rain. If conditions are unsafe, I will contact you to rearrange or amend the service.
How many dogs do you walk at once?
Group walks are kept small with a maximum of 4 dogs, plus my own dog Teddie when he fancies joining us. Keeping groups small allows me to give every dog plenty of attention, maintain safe and controlled walks, and make sure everyone enjoys themselves.
Will my dog be let off lead?
Dogs are only let off lead with owner consent and once reliable recall has been established.
Do you offer pet sitting?
Yes — pet sitting is available for regular clients only. This allows me to build a trusted relationship with your dog beforehand and helps them feel comfortable and relaxed in my care. Pet sitting takes place in your own home, so your dog can stay in a familiar environment and keep to their normal routine as much as possible. Pet sitting is priced on a case-by-case basis.
